Florida man struck person with E-bike on his way to apply for job: affidavit

A man was arrested Saturday after he was accused of hitting a pedestrian with his E-Bike and then fled the scene.

According to an affidavit, K M B, 37, was riding his E-Bike heading north on Gulf Boulevard around 12:16 p.m. when he struck a pedestrian.

The affidavit said B did not stop to assist the victim but continued on until he was stopped by police about three blocks away.

The pedestrian suffered a broken rib and clavicle as well as a punctured lung due to the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Police said that B admitted to not stopping after the crash and told them it was because he was headed to Crabby Bills to apply for a job.
