Florida woman accused of stabbing man in chest with pocket knife

A Miami woman was arrested for stabbing a man in his chest with a pocketknife on Friday, according to an affidavit.

A witness told officials that the incident began when 22-year-old V S and the victim got into a verbal argument. See grabbed the man by his shirt, leading to the victim grabbing See’s wrist and pushing her off of him.

That’s when S pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed him in the right upper chest area, the affidavit said.

The victim was able to run inside the home, where he told the witness, “I feel wet.”

The witness told Miami-Dade police that they helped the victim remove his shirt, as he continued to bleed profusely and began to lose consciousness. Local fire rescue airlifted the man for treatment.

Police later located S hiding in bushes near SW 266th and SW 139th Avenue, in south Miami.

When she provided a sworn statement to detectives, she claimed self-defense since the man grabbed him.

S was taken to a Miami jail on a charge of attempted felony murder.
