One person was killed and two others were taken to the hospital after a shooting Friday morning in Fort Lauderdale, authorities confirmed.
Fort Lauderdale police said officers responded to reports of shots fired around 9:45 a.m. near the 4500 block of Twin Lakes Boulevard, a few blocks south of Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.
When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds and a third person inside a nearby home.
Investigators said one person was pronounced dead at the scene and the two surviving victims were taken to a local hospital.
Their conditions were not immediately released.
Sky 10 flew over the area just before 10:30 a.m., where detectives were seen placing crime scene tape near a home where the shooting occurred.
Police vehicles could be seen blocking off several streets as investigators worked the scene.
No arrests were immediately announced, and police have not released information about a possible motive or suspect at this time.
