Fort Myers man wanted, charged with attacking senior citizen over rent dispute

A Fort Myers man is wanted for arrest after attacking an older adult over a dispute about rent.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, J H, 40, was confronted by his roommate about being late with the month’s rent.

The report says H became enraged with the senior, striking him multiple times in the face and throwing him to the ground.

H then picked up a wooden folding chair and bashed the back of the man’s head.

SWFL Crime Stoppers says Hernandez then fled in a brown GMC pickup truck and has not been seen since.

H was last known to be staying in East Lee County, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, and will be charged with battery on a person aged 65 or older upon his arrest.
