Gainesville man dies after motorcycle crash in Alachua

A man from Gainesville is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Alachua Wednesday evening.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, a 50-year-old man was driving a motorcycle down US 441 at around 7:30 when he collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Northwest 163rd Lane.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck sustained no injuries. FHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
