Georgia man dies in single-vehicle accident on I-10

A 20-year-old Kings Bay, Georgia man died Saturday morning when his vehicle went off Interstate 10 in Columbia County at the 303 westbound entrance ramp and collided with a utility pole.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, the man was driving an SUV westbound on the I-10 entrance ramp at mile marker 303 at 11:23 a.m. when the vehicle started to rotate, left the road and entered the north unpaved shoulder before colliding with a utility pole.

Emergency responders transported the man to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
