Homeless man shot, killed in Delray Beach

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A homeless man was shot and killed early Monday morning outside a residence in Delray Beach.

The Delray Beach Police Department (DBPD) said officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 12:30 a.m. in front of a home near 1200 SW 22nd Avenue. At the scene, officers found 54-year-old James Appollonio from Daytona Beach dead from a gunshot wound.

Police said they are actively pursuing leads in the investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call; Detective Tysen Sargent at 561-243-7780, you may remain anonymous.
