A 23-year-old Whiteburg, Kentucky woman was injured Saturday when a tire went out on her motorhome causing her to drive off Interstate 75 south of Alachua and collide with some trees.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the woman was driving a 43-foot motorhome south and towing a Lincoln MKX in the outside lane on I-75 at the 395 mile marker at 3:45 p.m. when the left front tire failed. She lost control, and the vehicle traveled onto the west shoulder, colliding with some trees. Emergency responders transported her to a local hospital with non-life-threatening.
