A driver was arrested for DUI after Florida Highway Patrol troopers found him passed out behind the wheel after traveling the wrong way on Interstate 75 overnight.

Around 3 a.m., FHP received a report of a Chevy SUV traveling south on northbound I-75, just south of SR-56.

Troopers arrived to find a vehicle stopped in the median, north of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

The driver, 32-year-old Alex Jose Nunez of North Miami, was found in the driver’s seat passed out.

FHP boxed in his vehicle, woke him up, and arrested him for DUI. Nunez was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail with a blood alcohol content of 0.190, more than double the legal limit.
