Investigation underway after man in his 70s dies in Riviera Beach house fire

One person is dead following a fire in Riviera Beach.

The Riviera Beach Police Department confirmed to WPBF 25 News Thursday morning that there was a structure fire on the 2500 blocked of Avenue E.

An elderly man who was wheelchair bound in his mid-70s was discovered inside the building. The man was removed from the building and was confirmed dead.

The fire marshal and Riviera Beach Special Investigations unit are at the scene investigating the incident.
