Jacksonville police: Two men shot at each other during argument, one struck in the chest

Two men shot at each other during a verbal altercation in the 1200 block of Kings Road Monday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Police say they were strangers to each other.

The men fired 8 to 10 shots, and one man was struck by a bullet in the chest, JSO said.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition and his injuries are not life threatening.

Both men involved were detained by JSO. 

Detectives were at the scene talking with witnesses and surveying surveillance footage.

Police are speaking with both of them.
