A 39-year-old woman from Jacksonville died on Sunday morning following a crash on the Arlington Expressway and Mathews Bridge, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the woman’s car was “disabled” on a concrete barrier facing the westbound side of the roadway when an oncoming vehicle crashed into it around 5 a.m.
The agency said both drivers wore their seatbelts and has not stated what other factors contributed to the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 33-year-old woman from Jacksonville, sustained minor injuries.
