Lake EMS summoned after intoxicated sisters engage in brawl

A pair of Fruitland Park sisters were arrested for battery after allegedly attacking each other while drinking at home.

Deputies responded to a domestic battery at an undisclosed Fruitland Park residence around 10:50 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department, the report said.

Upon arrival, the deputies met with 57-year-old CAC who stated she and her sister, 53-year-old MEF, had been drinking. She advised that F hit her three times on the head with an open hand and grabbed her wrists, leaving marks. A deputy observed a mark on her left lower lip and some marks on her upper wrists that appeared to be a few days old, the report said.

The deputies then spoke to Farlow who stated C hit her on the left side of her head and in the left eye area with an open hand. A deputy observed some slight redness and small marks around her left eye, the report said.

Lake EMS responded and checked both parties due to intoxication. Both were medically cleared and refused further treatment, the report said.

The sisters were arrested as mutual combatants and charged with simple battery (domestic). They were transported to Lake County Jail with bond set at $500 for each.
