LCSO deputy struck by suspect vehicle at Page Field Commons

A Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured after being struck by a suspect’s vehicle.

The incident happened Thursday afternoon, sometime before 3, when deputies responded to Best Buy at Page Field Commons regarding three subjects involved in a theft ring.

On arrival, the K-9 deputy attempted to restrain one of the suspects as they tried to flee in a vehicle, during which, the suspect struck the deputy with the car.

According to LCSO, the deputy suffered minor injuries and will be OK.

LCSO also confirmed this scene is connected to a heavy deputy presence in Collier County on Alligator Alley.

The investigation remains ongoing.
