A “major car crash” temporarily closed a busy Maitland road on Tuesday afternoon, according to a news release.
Maitland police said the crash happened at the intersection of Wymore Road and Hope Road but did not specify an incident time.
According to the release, parts of Wymore Road north of Sandspur Road were shut down in both directions but have since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
