Man, 40, accused of raping teen after giving her drugs at his Westchester home

A man and “an unknown female” sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl at a home in southwest Miami-Dade’s Westchester area in October after they gave her drugs, authorities said.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies said they formally arrested one of the suspects on a child rape charge Friday, one day after DNA evidence tied him to the case. FJ, 40, had already been in jail following an early December arrest on an unrelated charge.

Both the name and date of birth of J’s alleged accomplice were redacted from the MDSO arrest report. She is listed as “at large.”

Authorities said the assault happened on Oct. 27 at J’s home in the 9200 block of Southwest 36th Street.

J and the girl were “strangers,” the report states. Deputies said the girl was “heavily intoxicated” with drugs provided by J and his alleged accomplice when the former raped her and the latter assaulted her with a pink sex toy.

The report states the girl went to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where staff collected a rape kit.

Deputies said on Thursday, DNA evidence tied the crime to J. They said the victim identified J as one of the rapists the next day.

An investigator went to Miami-Dade’s Pre-Trial Detention Center on Friday, where records show J had been held since Dec. 5 on a burglary warrant, to speak with the suspect. Authorities said he “denied any involvement and the victim’s allegations.”

Records show that J, now facing a charge of sexual battery on a minor by an adult, remained at the PTDC as of Tuesday. A judge ordered him to remain held without bond.
