Man, 65, dies in head-on crash in Flagler County

A Palm Coast man died Monday morning in a head-on crash in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to FHP, around 6:40 a.m., a 19-year-old man was driving an SUV north on Belle Terre Boulevard, and a 65-year-old man driving a pickup truck was traveling south.

For unknown reasons, the 19-year-old driver crossed over the solid double-yellow lane line, striking the pickup truck head-on, troopers said.

The 65-year-old man died on the scene.

The 19-year-old driver from Interlachen suffered serious injuries, according to FHP.
