Man accused of driving drunk strikes light pole in Lake Worth Beach

A possible drunk driver is behind bars after colliding with a concrete light post in Lake Worth Beach.

Local law enforcement says the crash happened at 10:40 p.m. Monday prompting Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) to respond to Lucerne Ave and North K Street.

Deputies say before the suspect, identified as Cole Stout, hit the pole, he had struck another vehicle.

Fire rescue says Stout, 30, was taken to a local hospital following the crash.

He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on Tuesday. He now faces counts of DUI damage and a hit-and-run.
