A northwest Miami-Dade man visiting an exhibit in Opa-locka set up as part of Miami Art Week sexually attacked a woman working there late Thursday morning, police said.
According to Opa-locka police, A D H “entered the exhibit area, where he began smoking marijuana,” then began to speak with the employee, telling her, “I want to have sex with you.”
Police said H, 27, then moved closer to the “startled” employee and said, “I want to f— you.”
An arrest report states that after the victim stood up, H “grabbed her arm tightly so she could not move,” then “started massaging the outside of her blouse and fondled both of her breasts while holding her tightly so she could not escape from him.”
H then grabbed both of her arms and forcefully pulled her closer, police said; the woman managed to break free and call police.
Police said as they arrived, H tried to flee from the rear office area of the exhibit tent.
Authorities said officers questioning H discovered that he had an active domestic violence warrant.
Florida Department of Corrections records show he’s also out on probation for burglary and grand theft with a term scheduled to end in 2028.
H’ arrest Thursday adds a charge of lewd and lascivious battery with false imprisonment into the mix.
As of Friday afternoon, he was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center
