Man allegedly beat pregnant girlfriend, sent her photos of her children after he beat them

A man was arrested after he allegedly attacked his pregnant girlfriend, she escaped, and he sent her picture proof that he had beaten her two young children.

According to a release from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received reports of child abuse on March 26 regarding 22-year-old A R-E and his 23-year-old pregnant girlfriend and her two children, ages 1 and 2.

R-E allegedly violently beat the pregnant woman over two days following an argument, including the man punching her in the stomach.

The victim told police she was able to escape the house and called 911 for help, but she started receiving pictures of her children (who were still in the home) covered in bruises and wounds consistent with physical abuse.

Deputies arrived at the house and found the children with injuries that matched those in the photos, including lacerations, bruises, and swelling, per the release. All three victims were taken to the hospital to treat their injuries.

R-E was arrested and charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation, aggravated battery on a pregnant woman, tampering with a 911 call, false imprisonment, and two counts of aggravated child abuse.
