Man arrested after causing woman to crash truck into home: Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office

A man was arrested on Saturday for attempting to wreck a truck while a woman was driving, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Around 11:50 p.m., deputies responded to 55th Avenue North in regard to a crash.

According to reports, EV, 48, got in a verbal argument with his girlfriend while she was driving a 2005 Ford F250. Officials said V grabbed her arm and attempted to make her lose control.

V then grabbed the wheel and began shaking it back and forth as she drove.

The victim fought to keep the vehicle from crashing as she was pulling into the driveway but pushed the gas pedal instead of the brakes, according to PCSO.

The F250 crashed into the front of the residence, causing around $20,000 in damage.

V was arrested for domestic battery.
