Man arrested for allegedly killing girlfriend after St. Pete police found her body by dumpster

St. Petersburg Police arrested a man for allegedly killing his girlfriend after her body was found near a dumpster.

Daniel Coley, 41, was charged with second-degree murder for killing 40-year-old Amanda Browning, according to a news release.

Browning’s body was found Saturday morning near a dumpster in the 3800 block of 15th Avenue North. Police said there were visible stab and cut wounds. 

During the investigation, evidence led detectives to have probable cause to arrest Coley, whom Browning shared an apartment with, police said.
