Man arrested in early Wednesday fatal shooting of uncle in Jacksonville

Jacksonville police on Wednesday arrested a man facing a capital murder charge in the shooting of his uncle, a police news release states.

Officers around 2 a.m. responded to a report of a person shot at 409 Smart St. and located Timotheus Danzy, 41, sitting outside the residence and Lawrence Arnold shot multiple times inside, the release states.

Arnold, whose age was not given in the release, died of his wounds at the scene, the release states.

Danzy was held in the Pulaski County jail Wednesday with no bond amount listed, an online inmate roster showed Wednesday evening.
