Man arrested in Pinellas County after fighting with 78-year-old woman over football, sheriff’s office says

Police in Tarpon Springs arrested a man who they said got into a fight with a 78-year-old woman over a football game.

According to the affidavit, Alan Caleb Buck, 73, grabbed Martha Olin’s arms and held her down. Buck sustained injuries to his left arm after Olin — who was unable to stand during the incident — tried to defend herself.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office took Buck into custody on Sunday, but he has since been released on bond.

He faces a battery charge on a person 65 years of age or older, according to the sheriff’s office.
