Man dies after shooting in Pompano Beach, deputies say

 A man died after a shooting early Monday morning near Interstate 95 in Pompano Beach.

According to Broward County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded shortly after 4:40 a.m., to a shooting along Northwest Ninth Avenue, near Eighth Street.

Despite deputies’ efforts to save the man’s life, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the crime scene.

Deputies used blue plastic and yellow tape to block the public’s view of the man’s body. Three men and two women stood near a silver car and deputies.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
