A man has died after suffering from a gunshot wound on Saturday evening on Hampton Road, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office says the victim was a suspect in a robbery at the home deputies were originally called to.
The incident is still under investigation.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — Escambia County deputies say they’re working to learn more about the details surrounding a gunshot wound victim on Saturday evening.
According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an alleged shooting on the 6600 block of Hampton Road.
As deputies responded to that call, they were then led to check out the Raceway on Pensacola Boulevard. When they arrived a male gunshot victim was being loaded into an ambulance.
The sheriff’s office has no further information available at this time until they speak to the victim. Witnesses are being questioned about the incident.
ECSO says its investigation team has been notified of the incident.
