Man dies in Pasco County house fire

A man died Monday morning in a house fire in Holiday.

Pasco County Fire Rescue crews were called to the 3800 block of Bowen Street at around 6:30 a.m.

Firefighters found a 60-year-old man dead in a front bedroom. A second person escaped the fire.

Two dogs were pulled from the home, but one did not survive.

The Pasco County Fire Marshal determined the fire was accidental in nature. Officials did not say what started the fire.
