A man died and a woman was critically injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash on Interstate 295.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old woman was driving a sedan with a 36-year-old passenger north on I-295 around 4:30 p.m.
As she approached the Interstate 10 exit ramp, FHP said she failed to maintain her lane while traveling along the curve, causing the vehicle to rotate and hit a tree.
The passenger was taken to the hospital, where he died.
The driver suffered critical injuries.
