A man faces DUI charges after his bar exit burnout led to a collision with a Port St. Lucie police patrol car.
The Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD) said over the weekend a 22-year-old man was leaving the Buckeye Sports Pub at 1 a.m. The driver proceeded to get into his car and performed a burnout; however, this stunt ended when the driver crashed into the front of an occupied patrol vehicle.
Police say the officer was not injured from the crash. Photos taken at the scene show the damage done to the car.
Officers say the driver was more than two times the legal limit and was taken to jail for DUI with a breath alcohol level of .15 or higher and DUI causing property damage.
