Man fatally shoots woman before killing himself on Jacksonville’s Southside: JSO

A man and woman found dead Wednesday morning in a home on Windrush Lane were victims of a murder-suicide, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Officers responded to the home around 9 a.m. after they were told that a man and a woman in their early 30s were found dead by family members during a well-being check.

Investigators said after talking with family members and reviewing evidence, they determined the man shot the woman before taking his own life.

Investigators did not say how the two are connected.

JSO said the case is pending classification as it continues its investigation.
