Man fatally shot in West Park; motive unknown

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was fatally shot early Monday morning in West Park, authorities confirmed.

According to deputies, the shooting was reported at about 1 a.m. in the 2300 block of Southwest 46th Avenue.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene as a body was on the ground.

Deputies confirmed that they arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite immediately administering life-saving measures, paramedics with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

“It’s not too safe around here, you know?” AC J, who lives in the area, said.

BSO Homicide Unit detectives are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released nor has a motive for the shooting.
