Man found fatally shot inside vehicle in Orlando, police say

Orlando police responding to a report of gunfire coming from a parked van located a man inside of the vehicle who had been shot.

Officers arrived around 2:48 a.m. Saturday to the 5700 block of Curry Ford Road, where they found the man — identified as 59-year-old Luis G. Vicente-Martinez — suffering from a gunshot wound, the Orlando Police Department said in a statement.

Vicente-Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement reads.

The 911 caller had reported “multiple gunshots coming from a nearby parked van,” police said.
