A Nassau County School District bus was involved in a crash on US-1 Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 3:11 p.m. on US-1 southbound and Jackson Lane.

A crash report states that the school bus was stopped in the right lane with its lights on when a white SUV crashed into the back of the bus.

The driver of the SUV, a 41-year-old Fernandina Beach man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

There were 29 students on the bus at the time of the crash, and one student suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital, FHP said.
