Man hospitalized after crashing vehicle into Fort Walton Beach building

A man was hospitalized after crashing his vehicle into a building in Fort Walton Beach early Thursday morning.

It happened just after 3 a.m. at 258 Eglin Pkwy.

Upon arrival, Fort Walton Beach police and fire found a crashed vehicle partially inside the building with a man trapped inside the vehicle.

The man — who the fire department says was unresponsive with agonal breathing — was removed the vehicle and transported to the hospital as a trauma alert.

An investigation is ongoing.
