Man in critical condition after being shot multiple times in Downtown Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times in Downtown Jacksonville late Sunday morning.

JSO said at around 11:45 a.m., officers went to the 600 block of East Adams Street and found the man, who is in his late 20s, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said the initial investigation showed the “suspect walked up to the man and shot him multiple times.” JSO also said the victim and the suspect know each other.

Officials said no one is in custody.
