Man injured after accidentally shooting self at Florida Mall, deputies say

A man was injured on Sunday afternoon after accidentally shooting himself at the Florida Mall, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies told News 6 that around 3 p.m., deputies responded to the Florida Mall in response to an “accidental discharge.”

Upon arrival, deputies found a man in his 20s who had accidentally shot himself while adjusting his firearm, investigators added.

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said there is no threat to the community at this time.

No other details were released.
