Man killed, another injured after overnight shooting in Belle Glade

One man is dead and another was taken to the hospital after an early Monday morning double-shooting in Belle Glade.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said at 12:15 a.m. on Labor Day, deputies responded to a shooting onMartin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, off SE 4th Street. At the scene, deputies found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

PBSO said one of the men was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other man was taken to alocal hospital for treatment.

The sheriff’s office said detectives are investigating the double shooting as a homicide. PBSO said the motive and suspect are unknown at this time.
