Man killed in hit-and-run in Port St. Lucie

The Port St. Lucie Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run that happened Friday night.

The police department said its preliminary investigation revealed a 37-year-old male was riding a moped when he was struck by black truck that continued southbound on SW Airoso Boulevard after the crash.

The victim was transported to Lawnwood Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect vehicle was later located, but the identity of the driver remains under investigation.
