Man rushed to hospital after shooting in Miami

Police in Miami are investigating a shooting.

It happened Tuesday night around 8:15 p.m. in the area of Northwest 13th Avenue and 60th Street.

According to police, officers responded to the scene after receiving a call regarding a person who had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers said they found a man, approximately 19 years old, who was suffering from at least one apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was rushed to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital by Miami Fire Rescue.

There has been no information from police regarding the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
