Man shoots neighbor then himself, Hillsborough deputies say

Two people are dead after a man shot his neighbor, then himself, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Deputies responded to the 18000 block of Royal Forest Drive around 6:31 p.m. Wednesday in regards to a shooting.

According to HCSO, deputies arrived at the home and found Steven Glantz, 67, with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Surveillance video from the area showed someone walking into the home then gunshots were heard, and the same person walking out of the house on foot.

With the assistance of HCSO’s K-9 section, deputies searched the area and found Timothy Lobianco, 66, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to HCSO.

“Our hearts go out to the victim’s family during this unimaginable loss,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This tragic event serves as a painful reminder of the devastating effects of senseless violence on our community. HCSO is committed to supporting the grieving families as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.”

During the investigation, detectives determined the men were neighbors, but what led to the shooting is still under investigation.
