Man shot at Dade City supermarket after argument escalates, police say

A man was hospitalized after he was shot at a Dade City supermarket late Sunday night.

According to the Dade City Police Department, two individuals who knew each other got into an argument at the Bravo Supermarket, located at 14821 7th Street.

After the argument turned physical, one of the men pulled out a firearm and shot the other, officials said.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.

Police said they have a person in custody. There is no threat to the community.
