Man shot in Miami Gardens drives to Hollywood gas station for help

A man driving a white Nissan Altima was shot near Northwest 14th Place in Miami Gardens late Thursday night before managing to drive to a gas station in Hollywood for help, authorities said.

Hollywood and Miami Gardens police officers responded to the RaceTrac at 5800 Hollywood Blvd., where investigators said the found the bullet-riddled Altima with at least 10 bullet holes and visible blood in the area.

Authorities said the man shot was taken to a nearby hospital, though his condition has not been released.

Police have not yet identified the victim or provided details on what led to the shooting.

A tow truck removed the Nissan from the gas station overnight as investigators worked the scene.
