Man taken to hospital after possible shooting on Golden Glades Interchange

A man was hospitalized after a possible shooting on the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade Thursday.

The incident happened sometime before noon at the Interchange on Northwest 7th Avenue near Interstate 95 and the Palmetto Expressway.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office officials said the victim told investigators someone drove up next to him when his driver’s side window suddenly shattered.

The victim was injured in the face by debris from the shattered window.

Chopper6 showed the man who appeared to be in medical scrubs standing outside the vehicle, which had both of its front left and right windows broken. He appeared to be bleeding from his face.

That man was later placed onto a stretcher and taken into an ambulance. Officials said he was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Police said they’re working to confirm if the window was shattered by a possible gunshot or some other type of object that shattered the glass.

This is a developing story.
