Fire crews in southeast Lee County are working to put out a fire at a home along Devore Lane.
Crews responded to the fire around 3 a.m. Saturday and spent much of the morning working to contain the blaze.
Four adults were inside the home when it caught fire and were able to get out safely. According to officials, the family is missing one cat at this time.
San Carlos Park fire officials tell Gulf Coast News that the fire started in the garage but spread to the attic.
There is no word on what caused it and fire crews say it will remain completely undetermined as the home is deemed a total loss.
Crews said there will likely be burning for a long time on Saturday and flare ups are expected throughout the weekend.
The Red Cross is now assisting the family with housing.
This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
