MDFR: 1 person hospitalized, dog dies after fire erupts inside Miami-Dade mobile home

One person was injured, and a dog has died after a fire erupted Wednesday morning inside a mobile home in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

The fire was reported in the area of Northwest 14th Avenue and 77th Terrace.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials, eight units responded to the scene to extinguish the flames.

First responders confirmed that one person was transported to a hospital as a trauma alert.

Three dogs were also pulled out of the home and CPR was administered to them, but only two survived, officials said.

The Red Cross has been requested to help the resident.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
