A pedestrian died Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area of Northwest 27th Avenue and 46th Street just before 6:40 a.m. after receiving reports about a car accident involving a pedestrian.
Sky 10 was above the scene later in the morning, around 8:15 a.m., as a semi-truck was still parked on the roadway, which was blocked off will yellow police tape.
Deputies confirmed that they found a man in the area who had been struck by a vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
Deputies confirmed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
MDSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation.
No other details were immediately released.
