Miami police are investigating an attack that occurred Thursday morning, leaving one person dead and two others injured.
According to authorities, the investigation is unfolding in the area of North Miami Avenue and Sixth Street.
Police said the preliminary investigation revealed that the attacker was apparently armed with a stick.
In addition to the person who was killed, officers have since made contact with two additional victims, one who was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition and another who is listed as stable.
Police said officers may have a possible suspect in custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
