A 24-year-old Mississippi man was arrested after he battered, strangled, and held a firearm to a woman’s head in Destin on Saturday, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
OCSO was able to locate Gabriel Castillo after he fled the scene and charged him with domestic violence strangulation and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to deputies.
The victim is on the road to recovery, according to the OCSO.
Castillo is currently being held in Okaloosa County Jail with no bond.
