Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that shut down eastbound lanes on State Road 82 Thursday night.
The crash occurred around 6:18 p.m. near State Road 82 and Grant Boulevard between a motorcycle and a truck.
The motorcyclist has died.
Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies are assisting Florida Highway Patrol Troopers with traffic control and expect traffic will be affected for an undetermined amount of time.
Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
