A woman riding a motorcycle through Seminole County on Sunday crashed and later died, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. on Hickman Drive, south of Ava Court, troopers said.
According to an FHP crash report, the motorcyclist — identified as a 58-year-old Weirsdale woman — was traveling southbound on Hickman Drive when she failed to negotiate a curve to the left and ran off the roadway to the right.
As a result, the Harley-Davidson she was riding struck a concrete utility pole, the report states.
The woman was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, according to FHP. Troopers believe she was not wearing a helmet during the crash.
FHP is still investigating.
